Dr. Taher Abbas Mithi is a highly experienced Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgeon with over 35 years of surgical practice in South Mumbai. He completed his MBBS in 1982 and MS in General Surgery in 1985 from Grant Medical College and Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals, University of Mumbai.

He currently serves as the Chairman and Head of the Department of Minimally Invasive Services at Saifee Hospital, Mumbai, where he leads advanced laparoscopic, bariatric, and robotic surgery programmes. Dr. Mithi has been a pioneer in introducing minimally invasive techniques at Saifee Hospital since the early 1990s and has trained many surgeons in basic and advanced laparoscopic procedures.

Dr. Mithi is also associated with other reputed institutions including Breach Candy Hospital and Masina Hospital. His clinical focus includes laparoscopic general surgery, bariatric surgeries, robotic surgery, and complex abdominal procedures.
