Dr. Saifuddin (Saifee) Plumber has done his M.D.(Medicine) and DNB (Medicine) as well as DNB (Gastroenterology) from KEM Hospital and GS Medical college, one of the most prestigious institutions in the country. He is the first DNB (Gastroenterologist) from KEM Hospital, making him the senior most GI practitioner in the city and is in active clinical practice since the last 35 years. He has set up gastroenterology departments in several private hospitals in Mumbai including the old Saifee hospital from 1988 till its new opening in 2005.

The forte of Mr. Plumber is his clinical acumen in various branches of GI including acid peptic disease, liver, gall bladder and pancreatic diseases as well as large bowel disorders. He has a special interest in treating chronic liver diseases and liver cancers.

Along with clinical practice both routine and emergency, he is an expert in various diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.

Dr. Plumber has an illustrious academic record and has published several papers in national and international journals.

Despite his busy schedule he finds time to travel all over world and is involved in various charitable projects.
